Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 April 2026 ยท Applies to My Family Hub iOS & Android apps and myfamilyhub.com.au

Plain English summary: Use the app for your family. Don't misuse it. We'll do our best to keep it running well. If something goes wrong, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using My Family Hub ("the app", "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you're setting up an account on behalf of a family, you confirm you're 18 or older and legally able to enter into this agreement.

If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the app.

2. Description of service

My Family Hub is a family coordination application that provides shared calendars, chore management, a rewards system, family chat, meal planning, and related features. The service is provided on a subscription basis.

3. Accounts and eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account
  • Child accounts must be created by a parent or guardian
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • One subscription covers your household โ€” please don't share accounts across unrelated households

4. Subscriptions and billing

My Family Hub is offered on a subscription basis:

  • Pro: $9.99/month (AUD) โ€” covers up to 6 family members
  • Premium: $19.99/month (AUD) โ€” unlimited family members, all features

All subscriptions include a free trial period (30 days standard; 60 days for pre-registered users). Billing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play โ€” we never process your payment directly.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. To cancel, manage your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings.

Founding member pricing: If you pre-registered before our launch, your subscription price is locked at the rate available at launch for as long as you remain a continuous subscriber. Price lock is lost if you cancel and resubscribe.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use My Family Hub to:

  • Harass, abuse, or threaten any person
  • Upload unlawful, offensive, or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other families' data
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
  • Use the app for any commercial purpose other than managing your own household
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Content you create

You retain ownership of all content you create in the app โ€” events, messages, chore lists, photos, and so on. By using the app, you grant us a limited licence to store and process this content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for any purpose beyond operating the app.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep My Family Hub available 24/7 but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, fix bugs, or update features at any time. We'll give reasonable notice of significant changes where possible.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features, though we will not materially reduce core functionality without notice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian consumer law, our liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruptions.

Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by contract.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If the service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy. These terms do not limit any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Termination

You may cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable.

On termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.
